For centuries the belt buckle has been revered as a symbol of wealth, achievement, and protection. Hand crafted with both literal and spiritual images, made of precious metals and stones, buckles were considered jewelry. In many instances buckles were designed to symbolically memorialize the life of the owner.
Like "getting up and down from a sand trap," the buckles distinguish the few from the many. Sandy Parr belt buckles are sold only in limited editions, individually commissioned and numbered. The silver and gold frames, some set with precious stones, and colorful champleve' enamel outlined in 14kt gold, lend themselves to whimsical golf course scenes and client specific designs. The designs shown here have been issued as limited editions, ten each.
The visual design and texture of the back of Sandy Parr buckles receive as much attention to detail as the front. The back is stamped with the individual mark of all three contributing artists. The buckles are individually numbered. Personal inscriptions can be custom engraved on the back of the buckles at client request.
